On 10th of May, 2022, within the GoDanuBio project the Mayoralty of Ghelința Commune organized a site-visit for 26 students of Babes-Bolyai University. On this site-visit, on behalf of Ghelinta Commune, Mr. Ilyes Botond Mayor of the commune, presented the project, its aims, project activities, challenges in rural areas and circular bioeconomy principles.
Dr. Tihamer Sebestyen, Project Manager at Ghelinta Commune PP13, spoke about future business opportunities offering by the growth of bioeconomy in rural areas, especially for young people. It offered the audience a perspective in creation of startups in bioeconomy sector and presented local companies and business activities on biomass to energy sector.
The mayor of Ghelința Commune Mr. Botond Ilyés encouraged all participants to create business ideas, to apply for public funding, start new businesses in Ghelința for long-term and sustainable local developments.
