On 10th of February, 2021, within the GoDanuBio project framework the Mayoralty of Ghelința Commune organized a project presentation event for the young generation from Ghelinta Commune, On this event, on behalf of GoDanuBio team Dr. Tihamér Sebestyén, project manager presented the project, its aims, project activities, challanges in rural areas and circular bioeconomy principles.
Ms. Enikő Mátyus, Mentor at Association of Small- and Medium Size Enterprises of Covasna County, spoke about future funding opportunities, especially for young people. It offered the audience a perspective on the INNOTECH Student and STARTUP Social scholarship programs especially for young generation from Ghelința.
Ms. Szende Mihály, a successful start-up entrepreneur, was invited to provide a presentation about her best practice example. Her business based on eco toy production, by 3D Prenter out of bio-based materials such as sawdust granulatum. Her experience was encouraging for the young people from Ghelința, and offered an alternative perspective on start business in line with circular bioeconomy principles.
The mayor of Ghelința Commune Mr. Botond Ilyés encouraged all participants to create business ideas, to apply for public funding, start new businesses in Ghelința for long-term and sustainable local developments. The mayor also highlighted the importance of good cooperation between entrepreneurs, young people and the Local Council, and invited them to start a .new cooperation between the civils, private and public entities on local level.
